Lauren Sarah Debski is a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with two Master’s degrees from The George Washington University. With six years of practice, she specializes in addiction medicine, trauma, and mental health, delivering compassionate, holistic care to individuals, families, and groups. Lauren employs evidence-based approaches such as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to support recovery from substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, and methamphetamines. Her expertise in managing co-occurring conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and depression ensures comprehensive treatment, addressing the complex interplay of mental health and addiction.

Lauren is deeply committed to guiding clients through the challenges of recovery, offering psychotropic medication management, medical detox, and counseling grounded in trauma-focused therapies. She utilizes modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, which empower clients to build resilience and achieve lasting change. Her trauma-informed approach emphasizes safety and empowerment, helping clients transform past triggers into opportunities for growth and healing.

As a passionate advocate for trauma survivors, Lauren is a dynamic public speaker who has addressed audiences at college campuses, a Capitol Hill panel, and a state summit hosted by Michigan’s First Lady. She champions systemic change and educates communities on the impacts of sexual assault and trauma, drawing on proven interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support recovery. Her work fosters post-traumatic growth, enabling clients to thrive, not just survive, by cultivating positive psychological shifts.

At Creative Recovery LA, Lauren helps clients navigate the road to recovery with patience and understanding, offering practical tools to overcome setbacks and build healthier coping strategies. Her practice is accessible, accepting a wide range of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare, and offering both in-person and virtual sessions. Outside of her professional life, Lauren f inds balance with her husband, toddler, and dog, cherishing time spent nurturing her family and personal wellness.
